01.29.2012 - SDJ Productions was started in January 2004 by Bucks County resident Stanley D. Jacobs. Jacobs began acting and writing in 2001. Since that time he has appeared in over two dozen independent feature films and student film projects. He has also written two dozen feature length screenplays in various genres. A stint behind the camera as an Assistant Director, is where Jacobs found his true passion, film making. Mr. Jacobs hopes to bring more of his screenplays to the screen. He aspires to develop and produce at least one project each year.

Mr. Jacobs grew up in Northeast Philadelphia. He graduated from Northeast High School and attended Temple University, where he attained a Bachelors Degree in Architecture. He moved to Holland, Bucks County in 1995. He had a thirty year career in architecture, construction management and real estate with a major Philadelphia based pharmaceutical company, where he reached a Director level position.

SDJ Productions enjoys its continued association with several filmmakers: Don’t Go There Productions, producer of the web series Finders Keepers; Dreamquest Entertainment, producer of the films Sicilian Tale and Red Corvette; and Fugue Films, producer of the web series Gemini Rising.

Several of Jacobs' films achieved a high level of recognition after being selected by various film festivals in 2011.

Deadly Consequences (2010) was an official selection of the Global Arts Film Festival, the Dallas Arts and Film Festival, HorrorQuest Film Festival, and the Audience Choice Film Festival.

Brighton Park (2009) was an official selection of the Audience Choice Film Festival.

Visitor in the Dark (2008) was an official selection of the Audience Choice Film festival.
